In a manor of speaking. At least this worked for the one PC that I got to work, which has Acrobat 10 and an Acrobat 10 plugin.

Now it opens the PDF files as "Preview in Firefox". Of course, the same problem occurs in Chrome, so no help there. But ... This is a recent plugin update, and as soon as it was installed I noticed that PDFs wouldn't download.
