With .MOV files it will play the video but no audio. If you are running Vista or XP, it's probably worth upgrading and not just because you get a slightly better version of Windows Media Player! I have tried using the codec provided by Microsoft, but there's no luck in playing MP4 files after a successful installation on a XP computer.
