marpamcy Member Posts 61 Posts 11-22-2015,02:21 It can open common text files from email, OneDrive, File Explorer, etc. I believe there was a somewhat recent change to the Save dialog box, and that new dialog does not actually add the file extension to the file. Possibly.

Does make me worry. It's set to backup my OneDrive folder and I have restored an number of files using this feature.

Unlike Desktop where you have the drop-down you have in the picture, in Windows Phone/Mobile, dynamic association like that is not allowed. Unfortunately I was forced to download an old abandon app in order to facilitate the reading of .txt files. Much needed app.
